Do I need to book in advance?
Walk-ins are welcome when we have space. If you want a particular therapist or time, booking online is the safer bet, and it takes about a minute.
Do you offer couple massage in Almaty?
Yes. You can book a massage for two in the same room, for couples or friends. Add the second person directly in the online booking form and pick a time that works for both of you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash (KZT), bank cards (Visa/Mastercard), Kaspi transfers, PayPal and other common local payment options. You pay at reception after your treatment. A standard booking needs no prepayment.
Where are you located and how do I get there?
ApaThai is in central Almaty at Elif Towers, Maulenova Street 46 (lower ground floor), 050004. We are easy to reach from the city-centre hotels; a map and directions are on our contact page.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday and Wednesday–Friday 11:00–22:00, Saturday–Sunday 12:00–23:00, and closed on Tuesday.
What should I wear and what happens during a Thai massage?
Wear whatever feels comfortable. For traditional Thai massage we give you loose clothing for the session. For oil massages there is a private changing room, a shower and disposable underwear. Your therapist explains each step and adjusts the pressure to you.
Is there parking at Elif Towers?
There is no underground car park. A few outdoor spaces along Maulenova Street belong to Elif Towers residents, so please do not use those private bays. Street parking nearby is often available, and taxis and ride-hailing apps (Yandex Go, inDrive) can drop you at the building entrance. ApaThai is on the lower ground floor of Elif Towers.
Do you have English-speaking staff?
Yes. Reception and therapists speak English and Russian, so you can book and have your massage without a language barrier. ApaThai is run by a German–Kazakh team to German quality standards, and many of our guests come from abroad.
Is this authentic Thai massage?
Yes. Our therapists trained and were certified in Thailand (a 200-hour Thai massage program). They use traditional techniques: classic Thai massage with acupressure and stretching, plus oil, aroma and herbal compress treatments.
